Nice miniature with a large single scalenohedral crystal of clear to milky calcite, with small balls of light ornage siderite on a base of small brownish rhombohedral calcite crystals. This specimen came from the hollow interior of large (to 6 feet diameter) septarian nodules found in the Cretaceous Mancos shale.
