Nice specimen with two stages of calcite growth, an earlier small rhombohedral crystal stage, and a later stage with larger scalenohedrons with rhombohedral terminations, with an orange/tan microcrystalline crust of siderite over part of the calcite. Found within large septarian nodule in the Cretaceous Mancos shale. Reference #SM213.
